About Economatica and its products

What is Economatica and what is it used for?

Economatica is a financial data and intelligence platform with four decades of experience in Brazil and Latin America, offering comprehensive tools for analyzing companies, funds, bonds, macroeconomic indicators and capital markets, helping investors, asset managers, analysts and financial institutions make decisions based on reliable and standardized data.

Which products does Economatica offer?

Economatica offers solutions such as the Terminal, a complete platform for analysis and decision-making, APIs and Data Feed for integrating data into internal systems, an Excel Add-in for direct extraction into spreadsheets, Web and Mobile platforms for lightweight and fast access, as well as specialized modules such as Valuation (DCF), hypothetical portfolios, portfolio optimizer, Long & Short and asset screening.

What is the difference between Economatica Platform and Economatica Terminal?

Economatica Platform is focused on querying and exporting fundamental data, historical series and end-of-day financial indicators, while the Terminal integrates real-time data from different markets and asset types, with dynamic dashboards, customization features and access through a Mobile app (APP).

Who can use Economatica?

Contracting parties (individuals or legal entities) and users authorized by them, through a request to create a login and password. Sharing credentials with people outside the contract is not permitted under the Terms and Conditions of Use.

How can I request a demo or trial?

You can request a demo by contacting the Economatica commercial team through the website or by emailing info@economatica.com.br. A specialized team will understand your needs and present an appropriate solution, including available contracting options and modules.

What is the Economatica Excel Add-in?

The Excel Add-in is a plugin that connects Excel directly to Economatica's databases, automatically updating spreadsheets with data on companies, funds, indices and economic series. It is ideal for users who need to integrate platform data into financial models, internal reports or custom analytical routines.

What is Economatica Data Feed?

Economatica Data Feed is a scheduled extraction service that delivers data periodically in different formats (CSV, JSON and others). It targets corporate integrations, data lakes, BI dashboards and other applications that require programmed updates of financial data.

Is there an Economatica app for mobile devices?

Yes. Economatica Terminal has a mobile app available for Android and iOS, letting users track quotes, charts, indicators and watchlists in real time. The APP keeps the Web Terminal experience in an optimized format, offering convenient and secure access to information.

02

Access, passwords and accounts

How does access to Economatica Terminal work?

Access to the Terminal is made through an individual login, with username and password, linked to the client contract. Each license is assigned to a specific end user and is controlled by security policies and, in some cases, by IP, machine validation or additional authentication, depending on the contracted plan.

Can I share my login with coworkers?

No. Access is individual and non-transferable. Colleagues can only use the platform if they have their own login, linked to the same contracting institution.

I forgot my password, how can I reset it?

On the login screen, select “Forgot my password” and follow the instructions in the recovery email to create a new password. If you do not receive the message within a few minutes (check the spam folder), contact info@economatica.com.br for support.

How does access control work in companies with multiple users?

For companies with multiple users, Economatica recommends having a contract administrator or internal manager responsible for requesting the creation, revocation and change of accesses. This process ensures traceability, compliance and security, and also makes license management easier as the team changes.

How can I request a new Economatica access?

Access is created only by the Economatica team, upon request by email to info@economatica.com.br stating the company/contracting party, name, corporate email and type of access.

Can I use my account on more than one device?

Access is individual, with login and password, and tied to the contracted product (Platform or Terminal). Concurrent use across multiple devices may vary by contract and licensing. If in doubt, consult your administrator or write to info@economatica.com.br. Note: sharing credentials between people is prohibited by the Terms and Conditions of Use.

Who should I contact if I lose access or my login is blocked?

Contact info@economatica.com.br. The support team will check the reason for the block, guide any required steps (for example, a password reset) and, if needed, restore access.

How does Economatica protect my login and authentication data?

We follow our Privacy and Data Governance Policy, aligned with LGPD, with organizational and security controls appropriate to the scale and criticality of our services. This includes individual credentials, password best practices and incident response procedures. For more details, see the Policy and the Terms and Conditions of Use.

How do I request contract changes or add users?

Send your request to info@economatica.com.br (or to your Economatica consultant). State the contracting party, product and users to add or change. Our team logs the ticket, validates the contract terms and applies the change.

03

Data, updates and methodology

Which data sources does Economatica use?

We use official sources and recognized providers, including CVM, B3, ANBIMA, BACEN, IBGE, IPEA and international exchanges (such as NYSE, Nasdaq, BMV, BYMA and others). This combination ensures broad coverage and reliable data from official sources.

How often is the information updated?

Databases are updated daily, in different windows throughout the day according to each official source's release. In Economatica Terminal, real-time updates apply to items such as quotes and news, complementing the daily closing and consolidation routines.

Does Economatica automatically adjust cash distributions, splits and corporate events?

Yes. Cash distributions, stock dividends, splits and reverse splits are processed and reflected in price series. In the platform, users can switch between adjusted and unadjusted prices, correct by different inflation indices, convert to other currencies and explore multiple views of the same series, preserving transparency and comparability.

How does Economatica handle errors, delays or inconsistencies in the data?

We follow a two-layer flow: (i) automated validations (rules and consistency checks); (ii) curation by the Data Quality team whenever a divergence is flagged. This approach ensures reliability and quick corrections whenever an official source revises or republishes information.

Why can I find differences between Economatica data and other platforms?

Differences may occur due to source variations, calculation methodologies, adjustment criteria, cut-off dates, rounding, subsequent revisions and specific treatments, such as balance sheet normalization and consolidation. Economatica seeks methodological transparency and provides parameters so users can adjust the view according to their needs.

Does Economatica provide historical data? How far back?

Yes. We maintain extensive historical series with depth that varies by asset and indicator. Brazil equities: historical coverage since 1986 (including delisted companies). US equity indices: series such as Dow Jones (since 1920) and S&P 500 (since 1927). Brazil inflation: series such as IPC/IGP/INCC (since 1939/1944, depending on the index). Ibovespa: data since 1967; Nasdaq Composite since 1971; Nikkei 225 since 1965; PTAX dollar rate since 1965.

04

Terminal features and modules

What analyses can I perform in Economatica Terminal?

The Terminal enables fundamental analysis, including financial statements, indicators and multiples, market analysis such as prices, volume and volatility, macroeconomic analysis, corporate actions and event studies, strategy backtests, portfolio construction, screening and comparisons between companies and assets. It also includes advanced modules such as DCF valuation, portfolio optimization, portfolio backtesting and Long & Short trade simulations.

What is the Hypothetical Portfolio module and what is it used for?

The Hypothetical Portfolio is a feature used to simulate and monitor the performance of an investment portfolio, allowing users to define assets, weights, entry and exit dates and rebalancing events. The module helps evaluate strategies, compare benchmarks and analyze returns and risk across different periods, based on historical and updated data.

Can I export Terminal data to Excel?

Yes. The Terminal allows data export in several formats, including Excel, CSV and others, respecting contractual limits and the policies of the original sources. There is also an Excel Add-in, which makes it possible to pull series and data directly into spreadsheets in an automated and parameterized way.

Does the Terminal offer real-time data?

Yes, subject to specific contracting. Economatica offers real-time (RT) data for several markets, subject to the rules and licensing of exchanges and providers. If the client does not contract RT data, data may be provided end of day (EOD) or with delays, depending on availability and contract terms.

What is the Corporate Actions module and what information does it provide?

The Corporate Actions module brings together information on dividends, interest on equity, stock dividends, splits, reverse splits and other corporate events. It allows users to track dates, values, percentages, quantities and history, facilitating return analysis, distribution policy studies and comparisons between companies and periods.

05

Economatica APIs

What are Economatica APIs?

Economatica APIs allow companies to integrate Economatica data and content directly into their own systems, platforms, digital products, dashboards, applications, portals and internal workflows. Today, Economatica already offers a News API, providing structured access to journalistic and informational content for use in digital and corporate environments.

Which APIs are currently available?

Economatica currently offers a News API, designed to integrate content into platforms, portals, internal systems, applications and digital solutions. In the future, Economatica intends to make new APIs available with other company databases, expanding integration possibilities with financial data, market data, companies, funds, indicators and other proprietary Economatica information.

What is the difference between API and Data Feed?

The API allows structured and on-demand queries, usually integrated into systems and applications that need to retrieve data dynamically. Data Feed is more suitable for recurring, high-volume or standardized deliveries of databases, generally used to supply internal environments such as databases, data warehouses, data lakes and BI tools.

Which commercial models are available for API use?

Economatica works with different commercial models depending on the use case. APIs can be contracted for internal use, when data or content is used only within the contracting organization; for B2B models, when a company uses the API to deliver solutions to other companies; or for B2B2C models, when data or content is integrated into digital products that reach end customers. Each model requires a specific commercial, contractual and licensing assessment.

Can the News API be integrated into portals, apps or logged-in areas?

Yes. The News API can be used to feed portals, apps, home brokers, investment platforms, intranets, logged-in areas, newsletters, dashboards and other digital environments, provided that the use is covered by the contract and respects the commercial, technical and licensing conditions agreed with Economatica.

I do not have a technical team. Can I still contract APIs?

Yes. Economatica has a dedicated block on the APIs page for custom projects. In these cases, the Economatica team can implement the solution end to end, from understanding the need to final technical delivery. To evaluate scope, timeline and investment, contact the commercial team and request a quote.

How can I contract or evaluate an API integration?

The client should contact Economatica commercial team to explain the use case, target audience, integration environment, expected volume, distribution model, internal use, B2B or B2B2C, and technical needs. Based on this information, Economatica evaluates the best commercial model, access scope, contractual conditions and next steps for implementation.

Can I integrate Economatica with other analytical tools (Power BI, Python and others)?

Yes. Economatica offers Data Feed, a scheduled data delivery service for consumption in Power BI, Python, R and other BI/analytics solutions. Use is restricted to the contracting party, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use and contracts with original sources.

Are there limits on queries or downloads?

Platform/Terminal and Add-in: typical queries and exports have no predefined limit. Data Feed: contracted limits apply (volume/frequency/scope), defined in the service agreement. If in doubt, contact info@economatica.com.br.

06

Privacy, security and LGPD

Is Economatica compliant with LGPD?

Yes. Economatica follows the guidelines of Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD), adopting policies and procedures for personal data protection, information security and data governance. The company maintains a Privacy Policy and Data Governance practices available to users, as well as specific channels for incident reporting and requests.

What personal data does Economatica collect from users?

We collect only the data needed to operate the services and ensure security: name, corporate email, phone, role/company and technical access records (such as IP, date and time). For employees and candidates, we only collect what the law or contract requires.

What should I do in case of a security incident?

Stop using the access, change the password (if possible) and notify Economatica immediately through the DPO channel: incidente@economatica.com.br. Our procedure involves identification/containment, analysis, communication (including to the ANPD or data subjects, when applicable) and remediation.

Does Economatica share my data with third parties?

Only when necessary and on a valid legal basis (e.g., contract execution, legal obligations, legitimate interest), following protection best practices. Examples: cloud and infrastructure providers, authentication tools and consultancies (legal/accounting). All sharing follows contractual standards and LGPD.

What happens to data after contract termination?

After termination, the user must use any remaining data and databases only for internal historical purposes, and offering, making available or commercializing them to third parties is prohibited. Access to the platforms is closed, and Economatica maintains records necessary for legal and audit purposes, according to internal policies and applicable law.

How does Economatica protect information and accesses?

We adopt technical and administrative measures proportional to scale and risk: secure and auditable environment, access controls, encryption in transit, backups, monitoring, security updates and internal training, plus formal incident response procedures.

How can I request deletion or correction of my personal data?

Send the request to our Data Protection Officer (DPO), stating the contracting party, the product and the data to be adjusted. We observe the legal grounds and deadlines; for corporate accounts, requests must come from the contract manager. Channel: incidente@economatica.com.br.

08

Academic use, citations and licensing

Can I use Economatica data in academic articles, reports or theses?

Yes, it is allowed for academic purposes, with mandatory source citation (Economatica) and without publicly redistributing primary data. Publications may include results, tables and charts. If you need to share complete databases or primary data, consult Economatica and the applicable contractual rules in advance.

How should I cite Economatica in papers and publications?

The recommendation is to cite “Economatica” as the data source, also indicating the module or database used when possible. For example: “Data obtained from the Economatica platform (Terminal), accessed in [month/year].” If required by an academic standard such as ABNT or APA, include the bibliographic reference and the institutional address of the provider.

What is considered data redistribution and why is it prohibited?

Redistribution is any forwarding of platform data to third parties not included in the contract (e.g., sending spreadsheets with raw series, making databases available in repositories, open APIs or public reports with primary data). It is prohibited by the Terms and Conditions of Use and by contracts with original sources (e.g., B3 and ANBIMA). Failure to comply may trigger contractual and legal sanctions, including suspension of access.

What does “internal use” mean in financial data contracts?

Internal use means that data may only be used within the contracting organization or institution, by authorized users, for internal analyses and decisions. It is not permitted to offer this data as a service, product or external content, even free of charge, nor to feed third-party systems without authorization. This definition is required by sources such as B3 and ANBIMA.

Can I use Economatica data to feed robots, algorithms or automated systems?

It depends on the type of data and licensing. Some sources, such as B3, require specific authorization for “non-display” use, when data is not displayed to humans and feeds automated systems. In these cases, additional charges and specific contractual rules may apply. Consult Economatica to adapt the use case.

Can I use Economatica data in my company's internal reports?

Reproducing data for use in internal reports, studies, presentations and analyses is allowed, with mandatory citation: “Source: Economatica”. Note: external use or redistribution of databases is not authorized, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use.

How does corporate licensing for Economatica work?

We offer team licensing with terms suited to your scale and usage. We assess the number of users, concurrent accesses and required databases (Platform/Terminal, Add-in, Data Feed) to propose the best contractual setup. Contact info@economatica.com.br.

Can I use Economatica in a teaching environment (classroom or lab)?

Yes. We serve educational institutions for use in labs, classrooms and remote environments (Meet, Teams, Zoom and others), under an institutional contract. Contact info@economatica.com.br for academic options and access setup. Note: use outside the educational environment is not authorized, especially for commercial purposes, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use.
